ShootMeet ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account.
Profile information: You may provide additional information such as your biography, photography styles, Instagram username, city, and portfolio photos.
Location data: We collect your approximate location to show nearby photographers and meetups. You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use the app, including meetups created/joined, ratings given, and messages sent.
Device information: We collect device model, operating system version, and app version for bug reporting and crash diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the ShootMeet service
- To show you nearby photographers and meetups
- To enable messaging between users
- To calculate and display ratings and XP
- To send push notifications about meetup updates, messages, and join requests
- To diagnose bugs and improve app performance
- To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following cases:
- With other users: Your profile information (name, photo, styles, portfolio, city, ratings) is visible to other ShootMeet users.
- With service providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, storage, messaging, and analytics.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Google Firebase servers located in the United States and the European Union. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data, including Firestore security rules, encrypted connections (TLS), and access controls.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Update or correct your information through the app.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
